Founded in 2024 by Amy Wang and her partner Eric Young, the Dragon Hearts Foundation was born from a deeply personal conviction: that access to opportunity can change the trajectory of a life, and that representation builds bridges across communities.
Amy immigrated from Taiwan to the United States as a young child and often grew up as one of the few who looked like her. After graduating from UC Berkeley and UCLA, she built a 25+ year career in Silicon Valley spanning technology, real estate, and entrepreneurship. Navigating underrepresented spaces throughout her journey, she experienced firsthand how mentorship, visibility, and meaningful support can open doors that might otherwise remain closed.
These experiences shaped her resilience and strengthened her commitment to equity and inclusion. Dragon Hearts was created to uplift talented students—especially those from underserved communities—by providing the support, confidence, and resources needed to pursue higher education and leadership pathways.
Proud of her Asian heritage and passionate about reinvention at every stage of life, Amy was crowned Mrs. Asia USA International 2025. She uses her platform to encourage women and people of color to dream boldly and step confidently into spaces where they belong, while also supporting mission-driven organizations around the world.
Today, the Dragon Hearts Foundation is powered by a dedicated team united by a shared belief: that compassion, opportunity, and collective action can create lasting change—one heart, one story, and one opportunity at a time.
